It is ironic that his parents have the same philosophy as your parents. In Jake's short life, he has accomplished a great deal. I know that he would be inspired by you. I just happened to be flipping through the channels a few nights ago and came across the Bryant Gumble show that featured Kyle Maynard. I have been involved in athletics my entire life, went to the Olympics in Atlanta, went to 3 Super Bowls, PGA Championship, and I have never seen anything even close to the inspiration Kyle Maynard shows. This story hits a little closer to me than it might for some people because one of my best friends was born with only half of his left arm. My friend makes 6 figures in his day job, is the lead singer in a band called "Lefty and the Lunatics", has a 15 handicap in golf, former semi-state finalist in wrestling, and an all-star baseball player. My friend has the same spirit for life that Kyle has and telling them they can't do something will only insure that they will do it. Another thing my friend has in common with Kyle is the insight of his parents. Like Kyles's parents, they never allowed him to think of himself as being handicapped and he is not. I am a high school teacher and I am starting off each of my classes by showing my students the tape of the HBO program. In fact, I told my wife that I should start off everyday by watching day watching this tape. Kyle, best of luck on February 20th. Sincerely, Mark

Hi, Well a late night just heading back from a North Dakota dual, now without me as age has hit 22, but two brothers. I all of a sudden seen and hbo documentary on high school wrestling. Thus found the team, and realized there must be a great program down in georgia. I'm sure all you freestylers and greco roman wrestlers have wrestled up in North Dakota for Cadet and JUnior Nationals. Enough to know we have alot of pride in wrestling here. The story on Kyle Maynard was quite interesting. He looks tough as does the rest of the team, I wish he'd come beat on my little brother at 103, he's only 7th grade won a few wrestle offs and holds the spot not strong short but a good technician, varsity is tough to compete at that age, wow i blab i wrestled in highschool 5time state qualifier 1 time placer on 4 top 5 times in class b. The background is another blab, also wrestled in College at NNS Apprentice in the NWCA.
